The donation is part of the proceeds from the chapter's annual dinner dance, which was held in February in Maumee.

In addition, a donation of $1,500 was presented to the Salvation Army. Accepting the check from Tom on behalf of the Salvation Army is Captain Roy. The Toledo Chapter AFS also contributed $1,500 to the Angel Foundation, which grants wishes to adults in northwest Ohio who have terminal illnesses. These donations were made possible by the chapter's dinner dance, which also raised funds for the scholarships granted annually by the chapter.
